What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient system of movement that teaches meditation through the body and breath. Beginning with simple postures and mindful breathing, the mind gradually settles, guiding you toward greater awareness and calm. As a beginner, it’s important to remember that yoga is a journey — there’s no expectation to meditate perfectly from day one.
Yoga also supports core stability, flexibility, and strength. Each posture is taught with options, allowing you to move safely and gradually while improving alignment and body awareness over time.
What will I learn?
In these classes, you’ll develop strength and flexibility while learning to move with awareness. Breath techniques and simple meditation practices are explored to help calm the mind and support overall wellbeing.
Each posture is taught in both simple and more complex variations and can be adapted to suit your individual needs. With regular practice, you’ll build a strong foundation and gain a clearer understanding of your body, your breath, and how to move safely and mindfully.
How big are the classes?
Class sizes are kept small, with a maximum of eight students in the studio and fourteen at our outdoor sessions. This allows me to offer individual guidance when it’s helpful, while also respecting your space if you prefer a more independent practice.
